Senior UX/UI Designer

The role

As Senior UX/UI Designer, you’ll set the standard for design quality across our client portfolio and lead how we use AI in our design process. You’ll own UX and UI from discovery through to developer handoff. You’ll also show the team how to work better and faster with less rework.

You’ve already changed how you work because of AI and can show us the before and after. Craft and judgement stay with you. AI just gets you to a great answer faster.

What you’ll do

• Lead UX/UI on client eCommerce projects end to end, from research and wireframes to high-fidelity UI and handoff. You’ll work mobile-first and across every device.
• Design the full commerce journey: navigation, search, product and collection pages, cart, checkout, accounts, B2B and landing pages.
• Back your decisions with analytics, user insight and competitor research, and design to WCAG 2.2 AA.
• Run client workshops and present work with confidence to everyone from marketing teams to founders, and get sign-off quickly.
• Own and improve our AI-enabled design workflow, then measure its impact on hours, revision rounds and cycle time.
• Build token-based design systems and AI-ready Figma files that developers can build from accurately.
• Work closely with developers on feasibility, documentation and design QA.
• Own creative direction, support pre-sales with design input and estimates, and help grow design thinking across the agency.

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years in UX/UI, including 3+ years designing custom eCommerce, ideally in an agency.
• Hands-on Shopify / Shopify Plus experience (BigCommerce a plus) and an understanding of themes, sections, apps and checkout limits.
• A strong portfolio with at least three live eCommerce sites you contributed to, and one case study showing how AI improved your process.
• Expert Figma skills (auto layout, variants, variables/tokens, prototyping) and design system experience.
• Conversion-focused thinking, with a design decision you can tie to a measurable result.
• Strong presentation, communication and organisational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple projects.
