memobottle: PDP Optimisation

A design-led hydration brand redefining everyday carry through form, function, and sustainability.

memobottle partnered with Moustache Republic to reimagine a key product experience on Shopify Plus. The focus was a complete PDP transformation - shifting customisation from a confusing, transactional flow into an intuitive, playful, and brand-led experience that encourages exploration, personalisation, and confident purchase decisions.

Strategy

Shift the user mindset from 'checkout checklist' to 'playful creation' by gamifying the customisation process.

Increase AOV by positioning add-ons as desirable upgrades rather than necessary extras.

Integrate sustainability storytelling and subscription models seamlessly into the purchase flow without friction.

Design

Created an interactive 'builder' interface with clickable hotspots and live visual feedback for immediate gratification.

Designed a 'lifestyle gallery' split-screen to contextualise the product size and usage in real-world scenarios.

Developed a visual product grid referencing A-paper sizes to intuitively communicate scale and proportions.

Development

Engineered a bespoke Shopify Plus customisation engine to handle complex product dependencies and live preview rendering.

Implemented advanced subscription logic for cleaning tablets using Shopify's native checkout extensibility.

Optimised frontend performance to ensure smooth, app-like transitions during the customization process across all devices.

memobottle came to us with a PDP where the add-ons felt more like required extras than optional personalisation. Users weren’t clear on what was included with the bottle by default, and the existing layout made the customisation process feel functional rather than enjoyable.

We restructured the page to make it feel playful and user-led - encouraging interaction through clickable hotspots, live updates, and a sense of discovery.
