When AS Colour set up shop online, they used Magento 1 to power their eCommerce experience. However, as the platform neared its end of life in June 2020, AS Colour began to explore alternatives. After collaborating with Moustache Republic, they chose BigCommerce for their new eCommerce implementation. Together, we developed the perfect eCommerce powerhouse to drive international direct-to-consumer (DTC) and B2B growth.

Selling both DTC and B2B is crucial for AS Colour’s business. They needed an eCommerce solution that could provide a customer-centric purchasing and browsing experience while also offering the specific functionality necessary for B2B sales. Moustache Republic tailored the browsing and checkout experience to be distinct for DTC and B2B customers, with a bespoke UX for each. Jurlique uses an ERP system - JDE that does not have a native connection with Shopify Plus. Moustache Republic has worked with the internal Jurlique IT team and custom-built a connector that synchronizes products, customers, and orders between the two systems.

Bondi Sands wanted to introduce a skincare range alongside their self-tan products. We successfully launched the new range with fresh branding and a custom homepage, while integrating it into the same Shopify Plus instance for ease of management. With an expanding product line, customers found it increasingly difficult to locate the exact products they needed. We collaborated with the Bondi Sands team to create tailored quizzes: a Self-Tan Quiz, Shade Finder Quiz, and Skin Quiz. Customers often struggle to visualize how products will look on them without trying them on. Moving from Magento, after spending too much time and focus on frequent bug fixes, HealthPost switched to BigCommerce. HealthPost now feels confident that BigCommerce is a platform that is continuously optimising in response to client feedback.

HealthPost’s page load times on BigCommerce are now 3-4 x faster than their previous website even though BigCommerce is a fully hosted Saas solution.

BigCommerce and Stripe take responsibility for PCI compliance which is far superior to the self accreditation that Healthpost was doing previously.

Switching to BigCommerce has meant an overall improvement in the user interface, making the experience much more intuitive for staff and developers.

HealthPost now uses Comestri PIM (integrated with Netsuite as their ERP) which was integrated and used as middleware for product enrichment.

Moustache Republic custom-built enriched product data filters, meaning customers are able to shop by dietary preference or particular certifications. This ‘Shop Your Way’ function now intuitively guides the shopper to find the right products with ease through navigation and categories.

Moustache Republic custom-built a brand new promotions App for HealthPost. They now have the ability to run weekly deals site-wide as well as customer exclusive promotions. This has significantly improved the capabilities and front-end experience for the HealthPost customer.

Since switching to BigCommerce, HealthPost now have the ability to store credit card payment functionality.

Birdsnest has lots of attributes for its products with multiple images for each of the products, e.g. clothes presented by model size. It was important for them to have a Cloud and Saas based platform like Bigcommerce that would future-proof their eCommerce experience. As a result, Birdsnest’s page load time has improved by an incredible 29% since they relaunched on BigCommerce.

Moustache helped integrate Birdsnest with Fred Hopper (since acquired by Attraqt), a powerful on-site search tool. It was the first time Moustache had integrated Fred Hopper with BigCommerce and turned out to be very happy with it. Fred Hopper allows customers to extend searches into other website content like integrated YouTube videos.

With a lot of positive feedback on the Birdsnest Reviews. It was time to replace their custom built platform. Tony recommended Yotpo. Reviews now turn up in Google and organic traffic through a more credible review system. It has a much better experience on Mobile. Specifically for Birdsnest customers, there is also the ability to search reviews and show reviews from the same body shape, height and more.

Moustache Republic integrated Frankie, an on-site personalisation tool that customises and displays trending product blocks to customers as they scroll on the product display page to give Simply For Strings the opportunity to promote their wide range of products.

Since 2016, Moustache Republic has partnered with Simply For Strings to enhance their online presence. Initially managing their Magento website, we later facilitated a seamless migration to Shopify Plus. Our long-standing collaboration has ensured continuous improvements, providing Simply For Strings with a robust and scalable eCommerce platform to support their growing business.

In the competitive tattoo world where there is a constant battle with punters stealing reference images, we came up with a solution for Reference87. Unless you’ve purchased a subscription and received tokens to buy your reference material, there are limitations around taking high-quality images from the website. These include: the inability to right click and therefore save, when you click on the image the product is blurred and low res and on mobile you don’t have the ability to zoom.

We helped translate Reference87’s distinct branding throughout the website to stand out from the typical tattooist look and feel.

With many of Reference87’s clients purchasing from the US, UK and AUS, we integrated Stripe for the entire subscription model and Paypal for all purchases other than subscriptions.
